What does channel translation do?

When this setting is enabled for a specific channel, any message in this channel that is not in the language defined by the configuration will be translated to the target language.

To translate a new channel, you need to click on Add a Configuration button.

You see a popup that accepts different parameters

  • SENDING CHANNEL: the channel where the translation will be sent.

  • LANGUAGE: the language where the message will be translated.

You can see more options by clicking on the OPTIONS.

options dropdown

These options accept different parameters

  • STYLE: the style of the message, if the translation will be sent in embed, in a webhook, or just like a regular message

  • DELETE MESSAGE: if the language of the message sent by the user is different than the Language option, the message will be deleted.

  • DELETE TRANSLATION: the bot will delete his translation after a time that depends on the length of the translation (0.13 seconds per character).

  • TRANSLATE BOT: even if the message is sent by a bot, the bot will translate the message if the language doesn't correspond to the target language.

  • ALWAYS SEND: even if the message is in the same language as the LANGUAGE option, the bot will translate the message.
